I bought a second hand bike for my wife which came with a 75mm dropper. Unfortunately the kink in the seat tube means it is too high for her when pushed down as far as it will go. It is a 1st gen Giant dropper and 350mm total length.
I have found there is a KS 75mm dropper that is 300mm long but I can't seem to find it from a UK shop. Are there any other under 330mm total length droppers about?
The 100mm KS LEV is 335mm in length...
Specialized do a 75mm comand post that is listed as 310mm, as long as you want internal routing and 30.9mm
Cheers, the Level might be a bit marginal but the command post would do the job as I do need a 30.9 post. Internal or external routing is possible so I'll have a look for one.
I thought the 75mm command post was 330 mm long. Still ok but marginal. You can cut a little bit off the bottom of the command post if you need it shorter. Maybe 10 -15mm. It leaves the valve sticking out but only in the middle so should be fine with a kink.
I have a similar problem on one of my bikes. The shortest I could find was a gravity dropper turbo which I think was 275mm
I think the 2017 brain of the ks e30i in 75mm so flavour is very short (according to the updates schematics on ks site).
But the 2016 version is not the same product! (75mm drop and 378mm length!!).
The 100mm ks lev (regular and stealth) are pretty short. Around 340mm.
Just ordered the 100mm lev for the Mrs' bike to replace the previously mentioned stupid long e30i. Available from hibike for "reasonable" prices.
The Dropzone/Supernatural are the shortest but they are rubbish. The Lev is the next shortest.
It's all about the distance between the top of the collar and the rails. The giant posts have that weird bit below the collar that you can't shove into the frame. The Lev doesn't and the collars are quite narrow which helps.
