Are there any other rims that are compatible with these hubs.?
You may struggle finding compatible straight pull spokes and 16/20 hole rims.besides the hubs are nowt special tbh.I'm considering doing it the other way round and putting different (powertap) hubs into my rims.
I've just replaced my worn out RS80 rims with some Cole C24 rims from Evans - only about £30 each. The dimensions are the same so you can reuse the Shimano spokes, but you'll have to replace the big red Shimano nipples with some normal ones, I just used standard DT Swiss 12mm brass nipples.
They were a right bastard to build though. I've only ever built standard 32 spoke wheels before and I really struggled to get them right. I've got them laterally true but not totally true radially (especially the rear). I've only ridden them round the block so far and not sure if it's bad enough to notice. I'd need a smooth road to really tell, so I'll probably be ok...
I took a quick phone video of myself pinging the spokes before I stripped them down. That way I could check I was in the right ball park with tension when rebuilding them with the new rims.
Hope this helps someone!
I went the other way an relaced my rs80 rims (which were only 360g each) into some cheap Taiwanese hubs.Apert from the front hub using the tiniest bearings known to man they've been great.Sub 1400 grams and plenty stiff (as long as you use sensible spokes).
