Was about to buy some Deore 615 brakes £70 pair when I saw the full 615 Groupset is £265. I need all this kit for a build so it seems good value, any reason not to ?

Merlin is cheaper - they are £249 for the double and £269 for the triple...
BUT they have an extra 10% off at the mo, so £225 and £242.
I got one a couple of months ago and it's well worth it
The merlin one comes with a clutch mech, but the crankrings are 38/26.
I prefer 38/24 but it'll just mean spending £8 sometime on a new inner ring
for the sake of an extra £30 quid the SLX groupset at £294 is probably a better bet:

Good call. Actually, CRC are doing 10% off shimano stuff as well with SH10 voucher code.
£265.... Bargain.

£265 for SLX including brakes!
Crikey.
Thanks all, esp @slackboy.
SLX durable enough I guess ?
I'm not interested in lightness at the expense of durability as the bike will be winter hack/commuter/loaner.
The new Deore is great, some of it is very nearly as light as the SLX and it shifts just as well
Bought the SLX with the extra 10% code ( which I hadn't noticed before 😳 ) - thanks
