I am having trouble with the chain skipping the second largest sprocket. I have had it in the stand made the adjustments and had it running sweetly through the gears a few times now, but after one or two rides it starts to skip again ๐Ÿ˜•
Anyone had this problem and found a solution it is driving me nuts especially when I am out of the saddle and it slips, its not much fun on the knees? ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Cheers.

Could be a mulititude of things - including...how new are the cables - any kinks, corrosion etc? Is the mech hanger straight? B-tension correct?

Your not running too short a length of outer cable from the frame to the mech are you ?
That can cause a problem when the mech is pulled forward to accommodate the larger cogs & the radius of the cable is too tight.

could possibly be the cable is not routed around the clamp bolt on the mech properly, this slightly changes the leverage ratio of the indexing and can cause problems higher up the block
