I've got 3 sets of forks to sell, all with a single dead wiper seal.
Do I buy in seals, service them and then sell them OR sell them as they are?
For the hassle of servicing them all, will it yield much more money?
Forks are 03 psylo sl's, 03 duke sl and 2001 bomber Z1.
Don't suppose the Psylos are the ones with the Tullio Q/R (early 20mm maxle type..) Yes thats the ones the Bl%$dy Q/R mech falls out of when youre out in the mud one evening...If they are I would be interested in buying them as they are as spares..

I always seem a bit surprised by the price hikes sellers seem to attach to forks that have 'just' been serviced or tuned (particulary those tuned to rider weight/ riding style etc), I'm not sure it has the same value to potential buyers. But for the range of forks you are selling I'm figuring if folk want to buy some older, and therefore cheaper, forks they are;
- skint and just want cheap forks.
- not to worried about performance, it's just for a cheaper 2nd/ 3rd bike type project.
- want them for spares, as^
- want to put together something retro, and would rather put the elbow grease in themselves for a bargain and the joy of the job.
Sell them as they are on Ebay and be honest, you might be suprised what people might pay..
I sold some knackered but under 1 year old marzocchis on Ebay, was totally honest about what was wrong with them, got more than I expected, I think it was a bike mechanic that bought them.
