I have recently fitted a set of Reba Race to my Marin eastpeak and so far have been very impressed. The problem I now have is that I seem to have lost the spring return on the motion control. The pusloc still operates as it should but the dial has no springiness (if that makes sense).

Is this something i could easily fix or is it a return to dealer jobbie?

Cheers
Dan

try cleaning the cable, could be some crap in there stopping the return. also check that the leaver isnt hitting anything on the bar as this will stop the return when pushed to activate the return. All else fails take it apart and give it a good clean

I have already checked tha cable etc and no problem there. I have even removed the cable and there is absolutely no return in the unit, in the fork.

sorry, should have read post more closely.

id nip back to the shop, last thing you want is you stripping it down and then springs flying all over the garage!!

I have read a bit more in the instructions about removal/installation of the unit so am happy to do that but i am not sure if you can then just replace the return spring......any ideas?

If you remove the cable from the grub screw and it springs back the squirt Gt85 into the cable and inner.

If the cable is removed the dial on the fork is stuck and under warranty-take the dam thing back!

Ok so the dealer I bought the forks from have agreed to exchange the motion control unit if I send them the broken one back.
I have checked out the instructions on the RS website and it says that I should remove the fork lowers before performing a damper service. Is this still true if I just want to swap motion control unit?

IIRC the compression damper isn't connected to anything inside, so you should just be able to remove it with a deep socket (24 mm I think)

I have the same issue. I think the little spring has come out of the release button.
