So the question is, would changing the Easton alloy 31.6mm seat post on my alloy hardtail for a 27.2mm USE Sumo Ti (and one of their spacer sleeves) make any difference to the level of 'buzz' (harshness) felt through the saddle?

The exposed length will only be about 180mm. Cheers for your thoughts.

Don't know about the TI post, but I moved to a carbon post and that certainly improved comfort no end.

Al, it's a Cube Ltd, and I'm currently running 2.25" Nics (tubeless) at c.27 psi. For the record, fork is a SID 120mm RLT.

BR - was that a carbon post at 31.6mm dia, or did you reduce to 27.2mm?

Thanks for the responses.

Yes, my Kent Eriksen Ti post is significantly more comfortable than the Thomson that it replaced.

Ti post switch from Alu to Ti (both 27.2) made a massive difference for me.
