My reverb was loosing air over the period of a couple of days, so I removed it from the frame to send it back for warranty but decided as a last ditch attempt to re-pressurise it and cycled it lots of times.

It now seems to be holding air again, any ideas why this might have happened?

Had it been sitting with the post compressed?

Mine has done this too.

Was fine for 18 months then suddenly lost pressure and dropped down. Pumped it back up existing it to leak and drop again but it's been rock solid since.

Never been left compressed.

Dunno to be honest, mine lost air after I'd left it stored in a compressed state, pumped it up and its be fine since.

The air pressure goes up when they're compressed, perhaps there's enough pressure to bypass the seals if they're left like that for any extended period.

Pressure loss from over clamping the tube. The frame is quite well documented. Have you been doing this?

Not in my case, I only torque to 3 nm, think the maximum recommended is around 5 or 6 nm.

Mine sometimes does this, and sometimes the saddle slowly drops of it's own accord if it's not been used for a while, used regularly it never has any problems though. I suspect it's a case of seals drying out and a bit of movement gets the oil where it's needed and seals it up again.
