I’m having a bit of trouble removing a track sprocket. Is it a really bad idea to leave the lock ring off and go for a ride pulling as many RAD SKIDZ as possible in an attempt to loosen it?

Remove lock ring.
Place Rear wheel against a wall with somewhere for you to lean. Mount Bike and Back pedal like mutherF'er

cheers fellas, I'll try the bodging methods tonight. Don't really want to buy another chainwhip though as i have (a now somewhat bent) one already.

If none of that works I'll skid it down to the LBS tomorrow armed with biscuits and my dentists details.
