Curently running rl150's and am thinking of dropping them 20mm depending on how easy(hassle) it is.
Would I have to reduce the volume of oil in the left leg or do I not need to touch that side?
Anyone got any tips this procedure?

Not too bad, I swapped the oil when I did mine. Just a case of undoing a couple of nuts, taking the stanchions and lowers apart, sticking a bit of plastic, and putting them back together.

If you follow the basic service guide, and buy the few bits it suggests for that you'll be well away. Always handy checking they have the right amount of oil in anyway.
