Building a road bike, and need some lightweight road wheels.
I have been looking at aksiums or ksyriums, or something in that price range. <£200 secondhand.
Heaps of threads on this topic lately, one by DavidTaylforth a day or 2 ago.
PX Model B - 125 quid 1.7kg (look suspiciously like Reynolds Solitudes )
Aksium - 100 quid (Planet X website) 1.75kg
Doubt you'd get better even if you paid 200 second hand
P.S. if I were upgrading my model Bs i'd go for the Shimano RS80 carbon laminates but the cheapest you'd get them is 320 new - don't often see them come up second hand
I'd try and stretch to a set of RS80's is at all possible too. If not and less than £200 is a rigid figure, then a set of Rulcrum Racing 5's would probably be my pick.
BTW I am currrently piecing together a lightweight low spoke count wheelset, 1450gm for £165 or 1150gm for £265.
spec??
😉
Pro Lite Braccianos from Ribble?
