Hi All,

Following a previous post I'm still having issues with chain slip on my XT double chainrings after fitting a new chain. The replacement ring for the XT double front is about £55 which is a bit steep so was wondering if there were any similar rings from lower down the Shimano range or even other manufacturers that would do the same job.

It's a 36t ring and is standard Shimano fitting from what I can see.

Cheers,
Mart

SLX or Deore, though you might have to file the fitting tabs on the chainrings slightly to fit. Apparently 9 speed rings are fine, if your using 10 speed as the chains internal width are the same (lots of threads, do a search).

Okay, so I don't need to worry about whether it's a middle or designed as an outer ring then?
