That isn't made of cheese like the Sram 970 I'm about to replace because a small stick bent it beyond repair FFS.

Can't comment on any others but I've not broken a shimano one yet...

That's just bad luck. Not really cheese related.
SLX or SRAM 980 are a good strong/light/cheapish compromise though.

Edit.. See.. I resisted the urge to say TDK!

XT or SLX for me. Better than the SRAM equivalents, or cheaper, depending on which way you look at it.

Or TDK AR90s, 90p from Richer Sounds

Marchisio does not have the same smooth shifting as Shimano or Sram but lasts longer.
