I want an easy to mount/dismount rear light for my road bike, preferably one of those with a stretch rubber strap which wraps around seat tube.
However my bike has a tear drop shaped seat tube so lights/mounts I've tried/seen so far won't work properly unless seat tube is round...
If I had access to a 3d printer, I thought a little piece of plastic shaped like a Pac Man would work...
As I don't have access to a 3d printer, any other ideas???
I had a similar problem with a Giant "D" shaped seat post, solved with a whittled down rubber doorstop 😀
Ebay aero plastic bit here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122971949875
Exposure Tracr and seat rail holder.
At the other end of the scale I also have this which is fine and 2 seasons old:

If you don't have a 3d printer, what about sugru?
Cling film the seat post and use as a template.
Garmin varia light comes with aero seat tube adapter and it’s a brilliant bit of kit
This works on my aero seatpost

Lots of libraries have 3d printers available for anyone to use. Maybe worth a look?
Exposure Blaze or TraceR with one of their aero brackets here:

They do full aero ones and D-shaped ones.
TraceR is a brilliant light, mine have been absolutely faultless for years.
Moon do a saddle rail mount - comes with most of their rear lights....
Moon Cerberus. I bought one on a whim when my old light failed and was pleasantly surprised. Comes with different sized mounting bands, so really versatile. And whilst I don't know if it will fit a massive aero seat post, it also works well seat stay mounted. It's also quite aero itself. As a light, battery life is good and it has loads of modes including day flasher.
Leyzne Strip Drive is designed to work with aero posts. Works with mine
Yup, I have a couple of lezyne strip drive models and both fit my giant aero post.
Another vote for Lezyne Strip Drive here as it works with my Giant TCR aero seat-post and has the rubber strap thing you mention. Very bright too.
Moon nebula has a saddle rail mount. Works really well with a dropper too.
A saddle rail mount seems a good option in this case - loads of companies do them. Moon definitely do them and the Nebula I have has been decent.
I’ve got the lifeline light linked a few posts above mine - think it cost me £11 or £12. It’s ok as a second light to the nebula for extra visibility but I wouldn’t use it as my only light commuting. Battery life isn’t as good and it’s not as bright / visible - but it has been reliable so far in its favour and it was cheap.
Another one here for Exposure traceR and the saddle rail mount
Fits any saddle with normal rails, quick and easy to swap between bikes, ligh just clips in and will never fall out the holder, easy to turn on and off whislt mounted under the saddle

@cheers_drive, I'd seen that before - 76projects one? Several times the cost of the Exposure bracket but useful if you're lacking a horizontal section of seat rail to attach the mount to.
Another +1 for Exposure TraceR and saddle rail mount. Tucks the light up nicely out of the way - I use mine on MTB dropper post where I've got very little static post to attach a light to, also have another on my commuter. Solid bit of kit that mount.

Moon do a saddle rail mount – comes with most of their rear lights….
At the risk of this thread becoming a carbon copy of the front light one, Moon.
In addition to the excellent saddle rail mounts they also have a seat post mount which I'm sure will fit a teardrop perfectly.
I also like Moon, the Arcturus Pro I bought had the saddle rail mount (used on the dropper post), PLUS a belt clip mount (used on the pannier rack bag), PLUS a mount for seatpost / seatstays with different sized bands for differnt sized tubes (used on all other bikes)
'zackly. If they were Exposure, the total cost of the three mounts you get with each Moon light would be more than the whole Moon package.
Call yourselves roadies yet you’re taking away you’re ability to run a saddle bag! Kids these days. . .
Here is mine on my sworks...exposure tracer with saddle rail holder, get the rechargeable version because once its on 5he light is a pig to remove

I got one of these recently. Very neat and out the way. Build quality is good for the price. Has a breathing function which I find a great daytime running mode.
Call yourselves roadies yet you’re taking away you’re ability to run a saddle bag! Kids these days. . .
I’m actually running my Moon Nebula on the belt clip mount which hangs off my saddle bag.....but I’d class myself as an mtb’er / commuter rather than a roadie!
+1 for the TraceR. I have the saddle rail mount for the road bike and a seat post mount for the MTB's. Both work well, not cheap but the flash / pulse mode is really good and keeps you well lit on the roads.
I’m actually running my Moon Nebula on the belt clip mount which hangs off my saddle bag…..
Acceptable.

This.
I've got a saddle rail clip for the commuter where I run two rear lights, one saddle rail mounted, the other on the seatpost but I don't carry a saddle bag on commutes, the toolbag goes in the rucksack.
On normal road / CX rides, an under-saddle light wouldn't work, that's where the saddle bag goes!
https://seesense.cc/products/see-sense-ace-rear-light - comes with aero mount.
I have the Lezyne Lazer driver which fits my SL6 and also fitted my F12. The only issue I had with lights on the road was the stupid integrated aero bars
+1 for Sugru. Can solve almost all light mounting challenges.
On my TT bike I use a TraceR zip tied to a saddle rail with a Sugru shim to keep it straight. Obviously makes taking it on and off a pain, but I just leave it on and charge it in place.
I'd imagine that a shim to make the normal mount fit the seat post would also work just fine.
Another vote for Lezyne Strip Drive here as it works with my Giant TCR aero seat-post and has the rubber strap thing you mention. Very bright too.
Good to know. Mines a Giant TCR! Seems Lezyne have a few options which, on closer inspection, allow mounting on aero posts
(As others has said, saddle rails are out as they are used for small saddle bag!)
