Fitted new chainrings today on my Atlas cranks which already had the bash and 36/24 set up. Replaced rings, attached old bashring and on fitting bash looks too close in some areas to the 36 ring to enable chain to clearly link up, also the front derailleur now seems to come short of the outer ring.
Help - its been doing my head in
Is there a specific way the bash has to go back on near where the crank arms are?
Obviously the Race rings were like for like

presume you had to take the crankset off to replace the rings? if it hasn't gone back on fully then that would account for the mech apparently not moving far enough.
not sure about the bash/outer ring being too close though?

Have you put the biggeat chainring on the wrong way around?

36T went on with the logo facing outwards presume this is right as old one was that way round.
Worked the Crank arm until it was tight and could not apply anymore pressure to it. You can still see the red spacer is that right?

Is it rebuilt as it was? The 36 ring on the inside of the spider the bash on the outside - so the spider is between the 36 and the bash

Tandem Jeremy you might have something there - i've put the 36 and bashring together on the outside of the spider! Thanks
