I noticed when removing my wheel that the washer that is pressed onto the end cap threaded onto the axle (rear wheel QR) is crushed and has damaged the nut with it.

Are these all a universal size I.e. can I buy the below or are they wheel specific?

A bit confused here, you're talking about quick releases, but showing pics of nuts for nutted axles. Nuts for qr are pretty universal, usually M5x0.8mm thread. Nuts for nutted axles on mountain bikes are generally 10mm on the rear, 9mm on the front (no idea of the pitch normally used), but some odball sizes do crop up occasionally. I'd try to get the type with a rotating collar, if possible, as they tend not to chew up the dropout as much, and don't move the axle in the frame when tightening.

If you can post a picture of what you have (showing the damaged bit) it would help a lot.

I'll post a picture up after work, thanks. It's not the QR skewer it's the bits that thread onto the axle that press against the inside face of the dropouts. The washer thing seems to have crushed and damaged the end cap with it.

That is going to be axle/hub specific. Is it loose, or popped off and too tight to pop back on? If the latter, maybe heating it up will allow it to expand just enough to pop back on.
If the former, you <might> be able to simply glue it back into place. I would recommend a very thin layer of a flexible waterproof adhesive. It will be held in place by the compression force when done up. You just need to make sure it doesn't get misplaced when removing/refitting the wheel. How often do you take your rear wheel out?

I can squeeze it back on but it has already worm away at the black part and damaged it so I need to replace it. I think I'm just gonna take it to the bike shop, and hope they can work out how to replace either just that part, or the whole axle. It would be silly to have to replace the wheel for.

What make/model of hub is it? Looks like it's the cone locknut - I'd be having a look at SJS Cycles for something similar.

Not sure, they're in house branded wheels on a decathlon road bike. Sealed bearings. I'll have a browse on there.

I think troutwrestler has a good point. It looks like that is a steel piece designed to bear against the dropout face. Maybe it was originally pressed onto the black aluminium piece and has got sheared off, possibly because it has caught on the dropout during insertion.

If you carefully remove the broken silver sliver then glue the washer back on with a dab of epoxy, as they say, it's all held in compression by the QR forces once the wheel is in.

OTOH if you are able to get into a decathlon store they might well have some of those in their parts bins.
