Are the trail collective still going?ย  I was looking to get involved over the winter possibly along with my son (14) who needs to do something for the public good for his DOE. Having looked the website looks a bit out of date in terms of no dig days or recent news etc.

https://qecptrailcollective.co.uk/#team

I've messaged them but it also looks like from QECP website Hampshire CC may have taken it over and they don't seem to want volunteers under 16 from their web form, nor is the trail maintenance role listed.

If anyone can save me hours of fiddling looking for answers would appreciate it. 🙂

Look on Facebook for the QECP Mountain Bike Trail Building page and they have dig days advertised there. Also reposted on the QECP Mountain Biking Group page too . Hope this helps .

Hope so, the berms are battered to buggery in most places. I think the focus has been on the new skills/kids areas of late.

I understand majority of the new skills area work has been done by contractors. The volunteers are still maintaining the existing trail network, with a lot of obvious work having been done on the first part of the Blue descent. It's a big trail network for the volunteers to keep everything perfect, deal with Strava lines etc.

Oh, fair enough. Good work the volunteers. (I did back in the day, but just not physically up to to it these days.)
