Coming out of Smith's Combe this evening I almost managed to run over 4 badgers, 5 deer, a couple of ponies, numerous rabbit and a fox within the space of about a mile. The hills were definately alive this evening with a sunset to boot.
I ask you, is there a better place for a classic cross country ride? Even Great wood was dry! ๐
still a little mud through the Great Bear.
Evening is my favourite time to ride the Quantocks, less people around and lots of wildlife.
Aye tis an ok place to have 20mins from your door, will be up there this evening to wander, and friday eve, most of Saturday, monday, thursday, perhaps tuesday evening...dunno, friday i'm free..
In all my Quantocks miles i've only ever seen one Badger...as it passed under my bike whilst i was mid flight, same happened with a dalmatian, just waiting for a Zebra now as there seems to be a pattern forming....
