Off to Stainburn in the morn, found it on the road atlas but nothing more than the name on the map - are the trails close to the village? do you have to pay for parking? and anyone else there tommorrow? ๐Ÿ™‚

Stainburn village a few miles away, nothing to gain going there - trails & car park HERE.

Parking free. Should be quiet but there's nearly always someone knocking about.

As above. Dont go to Stainburn Village. Oh no. that would be a stupid thing to do on your first visit (whistles...) ๐Ÿ˜‰

You want the B6451, as you approach from the South, you drop down a big hill, over the Dam, then climp up the road, Massive sweeping steep left hander up a hill, Forestry Commision style signposts on your left.
