Staying in Contin next week with the family and there has been no objection to me taking a bike.
Puffer route is on the doorstep so it'd be rude not too!
Does anyone have a GPX they could share? Limited Googling suggests the route isn't waymarked outwith the event.
I presume its suitable for an unfit 40ish year old to get round and back to the village in circa 60 minutes?
Cheers

Here's a link to a lap from this year:

In terms of time to lap - depends what you mean by unfit 40yo. In the event (icy but pretty good conditions) - unfit 45yos like me were lapping in just under an hour. A bit of navigation time and time to/from the village itself will make it pretty tight to complete in an hour. 90 mins might be safer.

I just walked most of it today with the dog.

The track is in reasonable condition, so it should be possible to get round quite fast. None of the buttoning back a bit in case of ice, or drag of deep mud.

When they used to run the 'Puffer LIte as a 12 hour, I used to be able to do the same amount of laps in 12 hours as in 24, so twice the speed. Part of that was down to much less traffic.

Without traffic, I reckon an hour should be possible no problem.

Its not a very exciting route. Do it in the dark for the full experience.
