I tested my one yesterday. Let a bit of air out of a 27.5x2.4 tyre. Took ages, and I gave up before it got back to where it was.

Did anyone else notice how hot the adapter got? Hot to the point you had to pull your hand away as I reckon it could've burnt you.

Valve adapters do get hot on most pumps, even manual ones, but yeah I ran mine for a short while and it was getting quite warm at the adapter end.

I have a good test for it to try tonight, a 27c road tyre with a TPU tube that's  completely flat. I am fascinated to see if it can get that up to either 3 or even 7 bar in anything like a reasonable time.

So, for the price, are they worth it in the car or such to save the seals on your nice epump?

No, the lidl pump is a complete waste of time.

Mine struggled to inflate a bare inner tube!

Those epumps are all a bit shit for mountain bike tyres.

The Lidl track pump is really good though... I have one living in the car now.

Ditto, as a bit of a benchmark test I attempted to inflate a 27c vittoria pave with a TPU tube from flat. After 2mins 47sec it cut out. my track pump told me it had just about manage 32psi…

Its basically shite. Essentially it cut out due to overheating, the whole unit was utterly roasting, I gave it a couple of mins and it would run again. Admittedly the ambient temp in my Garage is probably still close to 30deg now, but I can’t see using it outside on a cold breezy day improving the performance much.

It isn’t really fit for purpose, the idea that it could ever need a 7bar pressure relief valve is laughable. Good job it was only £13. Otherwise I would be annoyed. Wish I could remember where I put the receipt, that £13 could buy some cheap beers and/or dirty Chorizo… or two pairs of their Lidl logo Crocs, that would definitely get me closer to a divorce.

I might take it apart just out of curiosity this weekend perhaps, if I have time…

Mine's going back in the morning. Hopefully Lidl will withdraw them from sale.

Looks like I dodged a bullet as I was after the mini pump when I got the torque wrench but they didn't have any, phew.

Speaking of Lidl air pumps, the bigger one they had a couple of months back has been a good buy for workshop/car boot use. Not available this time unfortunately. Also it's a bit too big for taking on rides.

My Lidl mini pump is going back later today. Failed to add anything to a tyre at 32 psi even if I set it going before attaching. It can't even reach a pressure for the 3bar blow off valve

Seems like the same basic design as other pumps but the motor is tiny, and the piston has a smaller bore:

I just came to say that I was massively underwhelmed by my Lidl pump. I didn't know if it was faulty or just me. Looks like I know the answer now. Where is that receipt...

I literally came to this thread to warn everyone about the Lidl electric pump😂

It can't get more than 20psi into my 45mm gravel tyres. Not sure why as it keeps pumping away so not sure where the air is going, but it's not into the tyre. A rare L for Lidl stuff which is always excellent in my experience

Not sure how they'll hold up long term but at a tenner I won't complain if they don't - I just got some of these to try as some cheap riding shorts and they're great for summer rides, they feel much cooler than my "bike" branded shorts thanks to the meshy inner legs, and the cut of the leg is nicer than bigger/baggier MTB shorts.

Also trying their £25 merino/poly blend t-shirts as I'm a bit fed up of stinky full polyester bike jerseys.

Cervelo Smartpak 400A Top Tube Storage | Merlin Cycles

If you're looking for a minimalist top tube bag I don't think there's a better option (assuming you have the bosses). I bought mine full price over a year ago when they were harder to get hold of than hen's teeth - I assume Cervelo ordered a boat load more and have excess stock. There is a cheaper Rockbros clone one (I have it as well) but it's a bit wider so more risk of catching knees and not as well made.

I'm thinking I could use all the bits off my old hardtail (with a SS kit obvs) and with some different tyres it'd be an ace pumptrack/skatepark with the kids bike, and probably actually really fun on easy local stuff too. Heck there's some ace jumps just down the road...

I wasn't... but really regret selling my old PX Jack Flash now that I don't have any sort of hardtail for mucking around on.

However, £19 for a bike box and £60 delivery takes it up to £240. WTAF!

Normal Amazon pricing nonsense... the 12 piece set isn't that price... one of the other many options is.

KMC 12 speed ebike chain for £15.99. I thought the offer was too good to be true so didn’t post in here immediately, I ordered three and they duly turned up as described. The power link was missing from one oddly, but I’ve emailed them and it’s no biggie for the price:
