i grabbed a steel frame to replace my road bike and gravel bike with a one bike for all
Lidl currently have torque wrenchs in stock for £14.99, can't comment on the quality but their Crivit stuff is usually not bad.
Also track pumps with a nice big XL barrel
Not sure how they'll hold up long term but at a tenner I won't complain if they don't - I just got some of these to try as some cheap riding shorts and they're great for summer rides, they feel much cooler than my "bike" branded shorts thanks to the meshy inner legs, and the cut of the leg is nicer than bigger/baggier MTB shorts.
I was in the York store at the weekend and after comparing them side-by-side I opted to pay an extra fiver for these ones instead, they just felt a little better quality to me. I've practically lived in them since, now wishing I'd grabbed a couple more pairs

Anyone looking for an alarm for their eBike (I have a Shimano one, which doesn't have the nice electronic lock Bosch one's do). (or any bike really)
These on Ebay are pretty good. Very sensitive - gives a warning "parp!" at first touch, takes a 2nd movement for it to properly alarm . And when it does, man it's loud. Great for parking up outside a shop or something. My brother bought one from Temu, but I got mine off Ebay for £14.60. The actual alarm is a rear light, might be better if it was hidden, but anyway, for under £15, works for me. PS. remember to turn it off before plugging the bike in.. the parp! will make you jump 😀

Crank brothers Stamp speedlace flat shoes £50 (from 150) and Stamp 7 pedals £64 (from 160). Pedals in large only black/pink but it’s only the logo and it’s more of a purple (small in red and silver)
Shoes have a good wide foot width/volume (I have real trouble). Stiffer and tougher than the trail version I have (which is too flexy). Lots of colours and sizes
I previously ride my stamp trails on dmr vaults. Only one ride in but the CB pedal and shoe did feel like they worked together better (which is the CB selling point of a “system”) foot seemed to find the right place and felt secure

Honestly just depends on you, there's a useful difference imo, I can use exo on the front but not really the back, I can just get away with exo+ (I'm reasonably quick, but very light). Some people or some places need more. Some people prefer the feel of a heavier tyre too. Weight difference isn't enormous. TBH the only way to know what your carcass is, is to try it, really.
It probably more or less works out exo = old school xc-derived trailbike, exo+ = modern super capable trailbike, for most people. EXO was the absolute default for a long time, the industry standard "normal carcass" but these days it feels a bit flimsy

I love my borealis jacket (pre cinder version) - whats the rest of the kit like and the sizing? I'm guessing it didn't really cut through - it's very 'gravel'. Not sleek enough for the roadies, nor RAD enough for the mtb riders.

The cheapest X01 level chain I could find seems to be the S500 which seems to have the same cassette wear friendly quality as the chains it replaces albeit without the hollow pins which doesn't bother me. £45.

I have the Cinder Borealis jacket too and the normal VR jacket - both of which are great. I also have the Conder Kinetic waterproof jacket and pants but haven't used in anger yet (but they feel lovely and get great reviews). Size-wise they seem as expected and are more of a generous cut rather than roadie focussed.

That is a good deal for a Garmin Fenix 7X Solar Pro Sapphire. Same price as the Garmin Fenix 7 Solar Pro Sapphire I bought earlier in April from John Lewis as noted on here, which has been great.
As I understand it the 'X' has the (much) bigger battery.
