Got the helmets out of the box when the OH went to bed last night so she didn't laugh at me.

POC full face - fits perfect and surprisingly open and felt well ventilated.

Went for the fancier POC goggles and was surprised to see the padding felt quite flimsy but I am used to to industrial safety sweat box goggles and diving googles so maybe my expectations were wrong. I was amazed at how when fully kitted up with the helmet and goggles I didn't feel closed off and blinkered. Vision with the goggles was superb.

Also picked up an orange Giro Hex in medium for my nephew when he comes to stay. He currently borrows the OHs girly Bell cyclepath helmet so it's a bit more Enduro and should protect the back of his head better.

Looks like they've hiked the prices on some of the stuff- amongst other stuff I ordered both the POC goggles and the Ultegra cassette have gone up substantially.

Meanwhile my parcel with a delivery date of yesterday seems to be still stuck in a status of "in transit"where it's been since last week - hasn't reached "out for delivery" yet. Will be mighty pissed off if it's gone missing.

UVEX pink/pink helmet (perfect Valentine gift) and three boxes of gels came on Friday. Very impressed with the shipping time.

Not heard anything since "order confirmation". Anyone else the same?

Assumed they'd be snowed under with it and not in a hurry to get my stuff, as long as it comes eventually.

Nothing since the confirmation email here either. I was having some buyers remorse anyway, might just cancel it.

Just checked and like above lots of the gear I ordered has now increased in price and is still showing in stock.

My payment hasn't been taken yet but I will be annoyed if they do not honour my order!

Missed my delivery yesterday as UPS wouldn't leave safe or with a neighbor despite instructions to do so.

Hopefully they'll deliver again today and leave them after a phone call this morning to UPS.

Well that was a real ordeal to get resolved.

1st person with online chat said it would be resolved.
2nd person said my bank had declined the payment. Checked with bank and no payment attempted by Canyon.
3rd person (Nick S.) actually bothered to check properly and the Adidas jacket that I had ordered was out of stock when I pressed go. He said that this can only happen if two orders are placed at the same time when only one item is available and as their stock levels are linked to the web shop it all goes wrong from there on.

Anyway to cut a long story short they have honoured all of the other items at the previous price and I now have confirmation that the goods will be dispatched in the next couple of days.

Fingers crossed.

Got my order. Arrived in a large wheel box. Goggles and pack are really nice, less keen on the piss-pot which looks a little short and wide on my tall, skinny head, but it'll do for commuting. Genuine steal at £62.

Might have to chase up the other order now.

About 1x1x0.3 metre box for 2 helmets and some goggles.

Thats what I got with a not dissimilar order.
I had some tyres from somewhere else turning up at roughly the same time and thought initially it was a slightly excessive box for them. Instead ended up pulling out several armfuls of padding to finally get down to the boxes.

I've got my stuff. Nice elbow pads, a million gels and a couple of nice helmets that are already up on eBay - selling one will cover the cost of the elbow pads

The UVEX Finale trail helmet is really nice but I don't like the colours. The POC Receptor one is nice too if a little heavy. Might be good for the new pump track round the corner.

I hope the UVEX sells first so I can keep the POC

Mine's here too. Could barely lift the box.

Nice Poc goggles for enduroing and Uvex photochromatic glasses for roadieing.

And my own bodyweight in gels and tabs of course.

Just had another quick hunt through the bargain box, noticed that the Poc Cortex had dropped even further in price- black £66/white £73. Managed to avoid buying one in the last order, not sure whether I can resist again.

I had a call from UPS on Tuesday to say that they could not deliver my order because the address was wrong.

Canyon had somehow take a line from my home address, then a line from my work (delivery) address, then a line from my home address etc....

Luckily they had my phone number and we could sort it out. The GP4000s turned up today.

Mine's in Tamworth with UPS apparently...hopefully it'll put an appearance in tomorrow.
If I swap my current 23mm GP4000s tyres for my new 25mm versions my Sunday ride will be at least twice as fast surely! 😆

For those that have no response I would suggest you contact Canyon with their live chat, it was the only way that I could sort my order out.

Strangely I got an email back yesterday apologising for the delay saying the delay was due to shipping a bulk order of gels outside of Germany. Anyone heard of this before?

My order landed yesterday while I was out so went to UPS pick-up point today.
Actually sent out in a box that was in proportion to the items ordered.
All items present and correct - well pleased with cassette, tyres and gels - cheers OP!

Well, I ordered a cortex flow before Christmas which turned up damaged. Canyon were very apologetic and said that if I order and buy a new one, they'll refund the helmet and postage once it arrives back which it did 9th Jan. I'm still doing battle trying to get my refund.

Looking on the bright side, at least I haven't bought the two expensive road bikes we were considering. I've learned the lesson about their customer service while still only in double figures rather than four figures.

Cock wombles!

Just had a second order confirmation from Canyon - they've increased the price of everything by at least a tenner over the prices I selected and got in the first email. Meaning that it's overall gone from 80 quid to 115 quid. I've dropped them a WTF email - does anyone know how fast they are likely to reply? The prices aren't actually that tempting if they stick to them, and I can't really be bothered to send it all back.

Do I need to post a grumpy note on their facebook page?

I got my second order yesterday without a confirmation or tracking details. Checked my account and I was charged the correct amount then an additional £10.22, so sent them an email.

100 Isogels is rather a lot.

Just had an email from Canyon UK saying "Unfortunately I can not see where you got the other prices from and nor can we discount the items you have ordered to pricematch what you say they were originally as each of the products ordered are already discounted by as much as possible."

Anyone else had this? For reference I ordered an Ultergra casette for 23.95, a giro hex for 34.95 and some googles for 21.95.

Very strange behaviour. I've forwarded them their own email! I can't be the only one who saw those prices on the website...

Are the prices quoted pre-discount?

Mine were like that on the invoice, with the discount applied inline and by group of items.

Was a bit confusing.

Nope - the ones in the confirmation email are post discount. Just that they've jacked them up by a tenner for each item basically.

@Ewan
My order confirmation says
Shimano Ultegra CS-6800 Cassette 11s 11-32T
Item no. 000000000000100429
£23.95
Quantity: 1
Total: £23.95

I'll see what happens when they finally deliver them. If they charge differently they have broken the law. They are however entitled to say cancel the order without taking payment. Considering others have had their deliveries that would be a very odd.

Very odd website. I got the Reynolds Aero 46 when the link was first posted for £820. They were delivered within a couple of days. Thou last week, the price went up to £1400 and now is back down to ~£1200.

The invoice on my second order is in euros as well for no discernible reason and yet the price quoted is less than they charged me in GBP. Still not had an email response despite a live chat where I was promised it'd be sorted.

If anyone missed out on the goggles I will have an orange pair for sale when I get back from skiing next week. I bought them for this trip but didn't seem 'right' for skiing.

£20 posted if anyone wants them.

yes that's exactly what i got initially, but they've now sent me a second email with a PDF inside it. Inside the PDF it says 35.95 (UKP).

Hopefully the Canyon chap will get back to me, and everyone else should probably check their bank statements to see what they actually got charged. It wasn't called out in the email they'd increased the price - I don't normally bother reading order confirmations, let alone PDFs embedded within them.

I was charged what was quoted, that was before they've put all the prices up by some what! I also remember the Ultrega cassettes being £23 as I deliberated but decided against as I already had a spare.

Glad ordered when I did.

Has money left anyone's account? I might have paid on the credit card I've forgotten the online banking password for, but probably not, so it doesn't look like they've taken the payment yet.

Giro Helmet and Uvex 611 glasses are brilliant by the way.

Mine turned up in a mess too the contents inside was all over the place, although the actual box was intact.

They missed 2 boxes of energy gels so had them delivered seperatly. They sent the wrong ones.

I can't be bothered anymore.

Latest reply from Canyon...

There was an issue with the currency conversion on our website hence the different prices you were quoted, but this has since been amended and we can not honour the lower prices I'm afraid. Please let us know how you wish to proceed?

Not sure how you mess up a currency conversion like that! It's the wrong way around. I assume there's nothing I can do here other than not buy anything from Canyon again!

I pointed out the price difference between the Uk and europe site early on. I put my money on the vat algorithm beiing wrong, Brexit advnced by a programmer error.

To be completely honest at the time I didn't. I've bought XT cassettes for the same price from Rose before and both of the last two helemets I ordered (both Giro Hexs) I paid 35 quid for in sales.

If they had stuck things up £3.55 or something then I wouldn't be so annoyed as it'd clearly be a pricing error and i'd be chancing my arm.

The latest from Canyon:

As far as I can see on the thread supplied your situation is not applicable to anyone else as they have ordered different products that had no mistakes on the prices. Unlike yours where the prices for each item were mistakenly advertised.

I've obviously replied to provide the example of the cassettes, pointed out the other thread and copied in their CEO on the off chance that they care about what people say about their brand.

Between the delays in customers receiving bikes, delays in receiving invoices for bikes received a year ago and now some customers getting unauthorised extra payments taken from their bank for goods bought in the recent sale, Canyon are doing a good job at scaring away future customers!

Their Dude looks great for example, but is a factory outlet Dude going to cost me the advertised ~£1200, or will I have ~£1440 taken from my bank? 😆
