Just looking to renovate an old steel frame.
Rather than stick a pin in the Yellow Pages, any experiences of powdercoaters in the Bath/West Wilts area?
Cheaper the better, too.
Ta.
Bit further afield but ABC Enamelling in Nailsea do very good, very tough paint for aorund £30 including stripping the old paint, etc. You do have to mask it yourself though.
I can't for the life of me remember a name, but I am sure there is a place on the West Wilts trading estate in Westbury that has been recommended as being cheap and/or bike friendly.
Ask the bloke at Curtis who does his .I think he uses a local firm
There's a place in Corsham and one in Trowbridge. Nowt in Westbury, IIRC...
Don't Argos Racing Cycle in Bristol will just do that ? I know it's Somerset, but they've been great with me fixing my bike.
Somerset? Bristol isn't in somerset!

Did my Intense in a lovely orange with a gold flake laquer.
They know MTBs rather well...
AMT on the West Wilts Trading Estate do a lot of stuff for us at work.
I have seen them doing frames and forks for some small local bike builders and hence know what to mask off.

That sounds good - I'm looking to get my DH frame done in a few months time.
What sort of cost and any photos of the finished frame?
Cheers, Tone: "Advanced Metal Treatments".
Nice PB the other week, BTW 😉
Got my heckler done at ABC enamelling, Nailsea. £40 including blasting and powder coat. Took 2 weeks turnaround and was very happy with the finish which has also proved to be very tough too.
They did get a small amount of powder coat on the bb thread so had to get that chased out by a bike shop. That aside i'm very happy with them.
