I'm 6' 4" and I'm riding a large covert, I want a longer top tube but don't want an extremely high stand over. Post a picture of your XL bike for my viewing pleasure!

Any type of bike is welcome!

I'm 6ft 4" with a 36" inside leg. I was going to go with the Large frame, but my LBS stuck me on a bike sizing contraption and persuaded me to get the XL Liteville

After riding stupid looking gateposts back in the 90s, i wasn't convinced, but this fits me well 🙂

Peasant - is that a 140mm Pike on the Horsetheif? Warranty ok with it?

I'm 200cm tall and currently searching for a 29er frame with a long ETT - XXL Tallboy LTc numbers look good but carbon only in that size, lot of cash.

I'm 6'3'' and this was my Solaris.

I needed the XL for the TT length but had to move it on as it felt a bit too close standover wise.

[img] [/img]

With a slight lower TT it would have been a great fit.

Inbred again in XL/21'' (also gone):

A bit of a compromise in the TT length but this 20.5'' Fortitude is a better fit for me:

Oh and if people hadn't seen it enough .... 🙄 ... my Skookum in XL:

6'4" XL horsethief with 140mm 44s

Lovely stuff.

I don't get this "standover clearance" issue tho. At 6'4" it's *never* been an issue. E.g. that solaris above, I can see how much post you've got out and can't see how you wouldn't have enough clearance?

Don't think I've any pics to hand of my XC bike. It's an XL voodoo. Which is a regular hardtail shape, and has less post sticking out than the 'thief above, and never felt I hand standover issues. Maybe I've just got tiny testicles though? 😉

I'm 6'5" 35" IL. Standover hasn't ever been an issue on any bike I've owned.

Surprisingly well 🙂 - I'd suggest that SS is about the best way to use that design of suspension because stiffening up when out of the saddle gurning on the gears is just what you want.

21" XL on a Trek Rumblefish. At 6'4" & 35" inside leg it fits like a glove with a 70mm stem but looks a bit ungainly from some angles me thinks.

6'3" on an XL Sultan with a 70mm stem and 780mm bars, best fitting bike I've ever owned. Spent far too many years on 19.5" bikes as I didn't want to be riding a gate, won't make that mistake again!

6ft3. I find large bikes too small.

My mtbs are always XL and my road bikes 60cm.
