Thinking of one or other. I'm only interested in setting up as SS/fixed. I know the CC can take wider tyres. From a ride quality perspective is there any noticeable difference?

Any one had / ridden both and able to express a preference and why?

I love my Pomp and enjoy the ride off-road. The tyre clearance is limiting though, so for heavy off road use I'd reccomend the crosscheck. I've got a crosscheck too, ;¬), but it's not built, so cannot comment. The pomp is cheap though and imo a great bike for the money.
The Pomp is nippy off road though, and gives a slightly springy, comfortable ride. Rob

Thanks Rob, I was leaning towards the pomp, but none coming up s/h at the moment and there is a CC onm the classifieds (which will likely cost as much as a new pomp).

Thanks for the heads up Rob. I would have snapped it up but I'm after an XL. I probably could fit a L at 6', 34", but i prefer a more upright position and I reckon that'll be easier to get with an XL. I've actually posted the same message on LondonFGSS. Good site, but as a new user a bit wary of the 'rough and tumble'!
