Got an m7000 shifter trying to fit onto a Hope tech 3 lever. Got the HBSP 327(R) adapter but I can't find a way for them to link at all.. Seems from photos that shifters are slightly different despite both being ispec 2.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
The m7000 comes in both I spec ii and b. You sure you got the right one?
Yes slx ispec ii is differant to xt ispec ii . I made exactly the same mistake its bloody stupid... the slx version has no way of fitting to hope brakes. I ended up getting a i spec b mount to replace it and swapping the mounts over on top of the lever. The slx version is more like ispec 2.5 . Seems hope brakes fit ispec a,b and xt ispec ii but not slx ispec ii
Yeah that's what I was thinking! Thanks for the confirmation, appreciated.
I-spec II refers to the brake lever side of the bracket being semi-cylindrical; the way it attaches to the shifter pod is not "standardised" in any way.
The shifter attachment of the m7000 kind of matches the one on the older M780, so probably there is a suitable Hope bracket for that (HBSP 263, maybe).

That is bollocks (as in its bad, not that your wrong).
Thanks otsdr, that kind of makes sense. Bit of a bummer but live and learn
I ended up buying a cheap i spec b ten speed lever and swapping the mount onto my 11 speed lever . Then it mounts straight on the hope brake. Shimanos ispec standards are bloody stupid they should just pic one and stick to it
So Ispec A-Z, we getting that many freehubs too 😉

They are the same design with respect to mounting to the brake levers they are intended to mount to. The shifter/lever interface is the same. Hope levers aren’t compatible with the ispec II interface, so they replace the ispec mount with one which works with their levers. How the ispec bracket attached to the shifter pod differs betweeen XT and SLX rather than the interface itself.
