Wondered if anyone had any suggestions, please.  I'll be on the road bike, so tolerance of mud is hopefully not a consideration.

Bike security and proximity to booze / food are at the top of the requirements list.

Will be visiting the last weekend in June, if that has any bearing on anything.

Much obliged!

Do you need somewhere to ride from or just somewhere you can leave the bike?

Many of the small b and b keep in contact with one another so will be pretty likely to be able to help directly or art least by pointing you towards someone. Or try prologue on Coldbath road and cappuccino cycling club, I doubt they'll help directly but very likely they'll know a few b and b owners who can help.

My boss has his spare room on air BnB, 2 miles out of the centre. Could ask him if it’s free if you like?

Thanks folks, ideally looking for a B&B or hotel in the town centre, as we'll be arriving by train so don't want to carry bikes and kitbags too far.  We have routes sorted so it's just a case of finding accommodation where the bikes will be safe overnight.

I also suspect my huge lack of road miles in the bank will see me reduced to a zombie-like state after Saturday's ride, so being able to stagger from the digs into somewhere where I can point at a menu and grunt would be an advantage.

Will try and pop into Prologue, they're one of our customers so I've spoken to them many times on the phone but never been in.

I did hear Premier Inn are good for bikes, so that's definitely an option.  Also do like a buffet breakfast, me.

Thanks again.
