not too bothered on price as i can break the £5 ones for fun.

i need something strong and easy to use.

would also be nice if it could work with 9/10 speed as well as half link/ bmx chain.

i have seen a few for the £15-£20 mark but..... what you using?

Using this one, no problems, nicely made compared to the £5 ones

Park CT-5 +1.

Small enough to put in your Camelbak to ride with, sturdy enough for use in a home shop as well.

Might also be worth asking yourself why you're breaking them, i'll grant you some are crap, but most survive a long time if used properly. As an example, my Park CT3 has lasted about 20yrs of professional workshop use, but a new mechanic broke 3 of them in a matter of days (though I still haven't a clue how he did it,I just banned him from my toolbox)

Get the biggest one you can,

Stronger and makes life a damn sight easier. leave the cheap ones in your bag for trail side emergencies.

I've had my crank bros multi 17 tool for years and it's superb, nothing breaks on this tool!

I've been using this one for years and alsorts of chains, the extra leverage is a blessing.

I've had all sorts over the years from £5 cheapos upwards & now stick to the trusty Park mini chain brute or CT5 as it's also known
