That's mine with a few mods - let me know what you've changed and if it's improved this superb bike.

cheers

Nice one Renton - are all three yours?

Mines a proper 28lbs fighting-weight now - love it.

In all seriousness, I reckon if I went back to a full-suss it'd be a pitch.

They've probably been discontinued because they discourage people from owning five specialized bikes.

Why have five when you can have one that is extremely good.

I came very close to buying a Pitch several times. They've been in production for four model years unchanged which is probably approaching a record for Spesh.

I bought a Wolf Ridge in the end, but I kind of wish that I hadn't sometimes...

There were actually some very minor geometry tweaks for 2010 or 2011. ๐Ÿ™‚

It's easier to list the standard bits then the mods - Frame, shock, stem, rear mech, cable outers, cranks. The rest is new

Coil U-turn Lyriks
Magura Louise BAT brakes
Hope XC (rear) and Pro2 (front) hubs on SUN S.O.S. rims, shod with High Rollers
Truvative bars
SDG saddle on a cheapie KS uppy-downy seatpost
DMR grips and pedals
22/36 rings with FSA bash

Weighs in around 34lb. Goes downwards in an exceedingly agreeable manner. ๐Ÿ™‚

How do the coil-sprung pitches ride up and down folks??

Deanfbm - That looks like an all-mountain monster is that you finished with the upgrades now?? How's the Monarch Plus?

That would be next 'big' change i'd make to mine i think so would appreciate your view on that.

Cheers folks

Not much altered on mine, pedals, saddle, grips, h'bar. Got to some decent trails with it in 2010 though...

+ my only socio-competitive event of the year down't Lee

Might go for a double + bash later this year is all; a well rounded outer ring doesn't look the part really.

Crap phone pic but here's mine.

36 Vans, Fox DHX Shock, Formula The Ones, SLX Double and Bash, Hope Hoops with Flow Rims, GD Classic

Overbiked? Yes, don't care. It's still got the coil shock on from when I did some bike park stuff in the Pyrenees, I quite like it though. It is a bit heavy but it pedals up hills perfectly well.

Great bike, had it a few years now and still love it - only thing I sometimes wonder is if I should have got a smaller frame, I was right on the borderline between S and M and went for M. It's great for 'AM' type stuff in the Lakes but when messing in bike parks I'd quite like it a bit smaller/more 'chuckable'.
