Morning all,

I know their are a few Orange five riders on here so my question is what size to go for. I have the chance to get hold of a well specced 2011 bike for a song and its a medium. I am 6ft tall with a 32/33inch inside leg. At the moment I ride a medium Lapierre Spicy.

Many Thanks
Si

Do you prefer a smaller frame for throwing about, or a larger frame?

Im 6'2 and had a test weekend on a 2012 Orange Five (20 inch).

Felt perfect for me in everything from up and down. Just right! ๐Ÿ˜€

I rode a 18 inch around a car park at my LBS and it felt short.

Id say you might get away with a 18 depending on you arm reach and the bar/stem set up.

But as they say, always best to atleast sit on the bike before you commit to anything ๐Ÿ™‚

(plus 2nd hand 18inch Orange Fives are easy to get - not so in 20 inch).

You could say I am used to slightly smaller bikes after my medium Spicy, can get a good test ride on the 18 and should be able to get hold of a 20 at my local Orange dealer. Thnig is on the Spicy you sit so far back like a chopper so its a completely different feel. Arm reach is 28inch.

I'm 6'1 and went from an 18" ST4 to a 20" Five. The Five is big and I can only just use a 125mm Reverb. The ST4 I needed a longer stem and seat right back and always felt too stretched. I'd agree with the other comments and try one but I reckon you'd be best with the 18".

I'm 6'2" (34" inside leg in clothing size, haven't actually measured to floor) and am on a 2011 20" Five. Perfect.
About 4" of the reverb lower tube is above the clamp.

I'm 6'2". Had a 20" 2006 5 for a few years and I thought it was spot on but then changed to a 18" 2009 5 and find it fits me much better. I do prefer a smaller frame though.
