As per title.
Other half is looking at a Whippet, she's currently riding a medium size trek slash - fits her perfectly but obviously a very different bike!
But the planet x size chart puts her as a small on a whippet - upto 5'7 for a small and 5'6 lower limit for medium.
She is 5'5" with a 30" inseam.
Is the sizing chart just a bit 'old school'?
Anyone shorter in size and riding one?
And also, bike returns policy is a little unclear- anyone had any dealings with how it works with them? No returns once built?
And they seem to have no showroom so it's a bit tricky as just ordering off numbers!
All advice helpful!
Thanks
I'm also a short arse (bloke) at 5'5" & would also go for a Small. My On One FreeRanger is an XS.
No idea about returns, soz.
5'7" and 30 inch jeans on a medium.
Fits perfect . It is a long bike though so small is best.
Small.
Same height as my wife, and she's on a Small frame
I'm 5'5" with a 30" inseam and my small whippet feels just right
I’m 175cm (just under 5’9 in the old money), and I ride a medium Whippet. It’s just about right, but if it had to be a little bigger or a little smaller I’d go small, it would still work. At your other half’s size definitely a small.
There should be a little ‘help’ icon in the lower right corner of a PX product page - you might need to be signed in to see it. They’re usually pretty quick at replying, and should be able to give you the info you need about returns, etc.
I’d go for it. It’s a great bike.
My OH is a smidge under 5'6" and rides a Small, fits her perfectly. Great bikes tbh.
Thanks for all responses.
I've ordered a Small, GX groupset with rockshox 35 for £999.
Quite the bargain I think...
They seem to be running the older colour reduced as the new orange or white ones are a chunk more and come with a rigid fork...
Definitely a bargain - that's what we paid for the rigid (which we wanted tbh) with the SX groupset.
I always Trek frames are a little on the small side and always have to size up.. This may be the reason for the difference between On-one and Trek?
