im looking at a 456 ti frame, but im between sizes

im 5' 8'' with a 30'' inside leg. currently ride a ragley blue pig mk1 in small (so 16in) and it feels a bit small.

im concious if i go for the 18'' 456 it may be too big

I would agree with your thinking. I'm also 5^8 and tried a mates 18" on one inbred and it felt too big. Top tube too high and too long. 16" felt much better even with a 50mm stem. Now got a Mk1 Lynskey ti 456 also 16" feels bang on for sizing

Yup, I had an 18" steel one, I'm 6ft and it was perfect. Depends what you like though, I liked a 70mm stem, if you prefered a 50mm you'd have an inch shorter reach.

I've just got the 16" 456 ti. I'm 5'9" with 31" leg and it feels right. Currently have a 90mm stem on but will be changing that soon

If you're talking the ti evo, its got a long 592mm eTT on the 16", longer than the 16" Blue Pig. I definitely say 16" for you

I have a 16" 456ti for sale, purchased oct 2012 so van nic one, very good condition, as only had about 6 months riding and will probably kick myself once I have sold it, and I'am based in Huddersfield
ps i'am 5'8" with 30" inside leg and this size was spot on.

I'm the same size as mattbilliard and my mates 16" steel Inbred felt just right - could get away with an 18" with a few compromises if I had to I guess

Def. 16" with a nice long seat post.

Fraction taller than you and 16" is perfect.

I can ride an 18" easily as it's only fractionally longer but the standover is a little less confidence inspiring.
