Is anyone using those extra under TT bottle bosses for storage?

What are you using?

Based on my half arsed internet research I can find:

76 Projects - looks good no stock.

Wolftooth B Rad - looks OK.

Granite Designs - looks OK but seen reports of the straps breaking?

I've a spare of the longer 76projects 'the piggy' and water proof pouch, pm me if your interested. I Use one on the gravel bike with the fabric bag as permanent storage and it's great (multitool, tube and levers).

But I stopped using the (now) spare on the MTB as I now use a custom frame bag which gives me more water storage.

I can concur with the reports of Granite strap breaking. Mine broke last week, losing quite a few tools in the process. Didn’t notice until a while later so couldn’t really go back.

Grrrr…..

The 76 projects snap on baggie is really neat. It's hard to find on their site though but it's there. The cleats look like fabric ones but they're way more grippy and the click and twist system isn't losing anything anytime soon.

Nukeproof do one. Comes with 3 different width/length straps. Just got one to replace my 76 Projects one, which is too wide to go under the top tube on my new frame (was mounted on the seat tube bosses on the previous hardtail frame).

I've got an in-line one-up pump mount. Pump and tools all in it.

76 Projects – looks good no stock

@BillOddie
We got the components in the workshop just not at the fulfillment people. Leave a message on the site and I can send one direct tomorrow. Assembled with my own fair hands.
We've just switched the strap to Hypalon too.

I use a bottle-style tool case in a cage. It's OK but the top doesn't fit properly and it's hard to pack efficiently. I was looking at the Topeak one which is 25 quid - looks nice but is it 10x nicer than the Planet X one? I doubt it !

I use an Elite Byasi tool bottle in a bottle cage. I put an inner tube around it and the cage to help keep it secure. Works well

Those Topeak type bottle ones are probably better if you're concerned with full immersion-proof waterproofing but the PlanetX approach with a zip seems to shrug off puddle splashes and heavy rain fine.

Now I think about my go-to for storing a solarstorm battery case on night rides is actually just an old sunglasses case from Dirty Dog which just happened to be the right size to jam into a bottle cage.

76 projects quick release piggy zip case seems to be in stock but it's strangely not under bike storage you need to click on shop then discipline and go through the full products page.

Anyone thinking about typing got a link, DIY.

I've got a DrJ0n bagworks minideck on the way. Going to use a voile strap for a tool/tube. And should be a versatile little thing for other uses

Anyone know of a set of ‘bosses’ that could be stuck on? I’ve two frames with space within the frame but would prefer not to strap stuff onto them as I’ve found the straps become dirt traps and then the paint starts suffering. Got some 3m trim tape that sticks li,e the proverbial to a blanket.

Tailfin do a 'in frame' bag, I didn't look at it in detail but it straps on but might also have a bottle boss option (their top tube bag does both)

BBB Adaptrail - could use one to get a second bottle along from the existing bosses?

I think my ones are the elite strap on mounts. I carry two bottles on my mk1 Solaris which only has one set of mounts
