don't go now!! ❗ got back from Crete yesterday. 40 degrees. Lovely but I couldn't carry the water I would use in a day. Just gentle walking got through a litre an hour. Wonderful roads on eastern part, would love to take a cross bike back when its about 20 degrees

Been over riding there last two years in July and August. Just have to plan the route to pass little mountain villages at some point. Always nero there. Main problem I will have is if I try the crossing from Omalos to Anopilis via Pachnes. Going to be vefry difficult as there's no water up there.
