I've just connected up an old tower to check it before binning, and I've found some great old pictures that I don't have anywhere else i.e early Sandwell and Trentham 24s.
It doesn't have a writer only floppy disc which IIRC will only store a few pics?
Can you suggest a cheap way to record them or transfer them.
Ta.
EDIT
Tis OK connect it to the net I guess and transfer to Flickr.
upload to web?
no USB?
CD writers are cheap as chips if not, probably pick one up for less than a tenner on t'bay
Can you access the tinternerd on it? If so try logging on to an online email account and emailing them to another email address.
Take the HDD out and connect it to Your PC and copy/paste. Also You might have a external HDD case that You just pop the drive in and connect to the computer via USB. If You're anywhere close to Edinburgh You can borrow mine.
does it have an ethernet socket? Buy a crossover cable (like an ethernet cable, but wired up back to front) and plug it into another PC?
Hi Carl, sorry for the slight hijack. Mailed you last week re the rubber boot for the XT hub, but have not heard back.
Hope all is ok.

Hanno I've not lost it, it's in my garage I promise to find it tonight using my newly installed 6' fluorescent in my garage.

pull the hard drive out and put it into the current computer as a slave drive? (assuming its a tower)
or connect it using usb via an external hard drive case
like this, but maybe a 3.5" version if its an old computer?
