Looking for the ever elusive all-round use jacket that is:

Breathable
Robust
Waterproof (pretty much)
Not to hot

And the Nukeproof Blackline Softshell has caught my eye (although I prefer hoodless), anyone have one an can comment?

Thanks!

I got one last month, although I'm using it as more of "casual" thing than on the bike.

It's quite a loose fit - I'd want it a bit tighter and closer fitting if I was going to use it for riding only.

It seems nicely made, I like the feel of the material and it's not got saturated in light rain so far.

Nothing that makes me think its outstanding, but I do quite like it!

The maroon is a nice colour too.

I have one & find it very good. My wish list was the same as yours.
It's pretty breathable although I'm a sweaty git so I've yet to find anything that fully copes with me, it is one of the better bits of clothing I've bought on that front though.
So far it seems seems pretty hard wearing.
It's not waterproof but other than sustained heavy rain I haven't noticed it wetting out.
For me anything above 10 degrees & it's a bit warm.
I also didn't want a hood but I have to say I've found it useful on more than one occasion.

Hope that all helps.

Yes, I love it but don't cycle in it.

I have one, ride in it quite a bit, find it very good v your criteria.

Would like Velcro wrist adjusters, and less baggy fit, but length is good, breathability good, and the dwr is remarkable. Will wear off I know, but it still looks pristine as any water/ mud just falls off

I bought one a few months ago and I must say its really good. Looks smart on and off the bike and I found it to be very waterproof. I much prefer it to the fox jackets.

I've got one, and I'm happy with it. It's a little loose for cycling, but not annoyingly so (and when it gets cold I'll probably have another layer under).
I use it for my 30 minute commute, and it keeps the rain out. It's also good-looking enough to wear to the pub or shops.

I've not seen better for the price.

I took the plunge as they are on sale at Wiggle. I'm usually between M/L and settled on M as they are a little generous. Wore it for a miserable damp and windy ride yesterday and it performed well, warm but not hot, it's not a summer jacket though.

There is an odd rubbery nature to the flexibility in the jacket that reminds me of an old TNF Apex jacket I used to have that also had a membrane, but it is in no way uncomfortable.

I'm not a fan of hooded jackets for riding but as the material is quite substantial it sat nicely and didn't irritate.

Although there wasn't any heavy rain it was dealt with effortlessly, I can see it being used instead of a hardshell.

So, for £72 I'm very pleased. Thanks all.

I bought mine last December and have used it over the past year. I'd echo the comments about it feeling a bit warm over 10 degrees.

Nice feeling jacket though, and well made with quite a loose fit.
