A mate of a mate is supposed to show us a route on Sunday but there's a small chance he might not make it. I know the Lakes but Yorkshire, i haven't got a clue!!

We'll be setting off from Pateley Bridge. Can anyone sort us out with a back-up rote please?

Cheers

Personally, I'd start at Ramsgill as per the sfb map, it's a bit of a slog too and from Pateley Bridge, unless you like that sort of thing. It's a classic route tho and probably the one your mate was going to lead.

It's fine if you use the BW to the right of the resevoir, wouldn't bother going up the road on the left though.

sfb, clicky no worky for me... 🙁

My favourite loop this. I love the climb out the back of Middlesmoor - it's like riding to the edge of the world 🙂 , and then the run down to Scar House. 😀

I tend to start at the Sportsmans in Wath and ride up that bridleway behind Gouthwaite. Crossover at Bouthwaite to Ramsgill, follow your nose to Middlesmoor and you're away.

The descent down to scar house is fab. Did it in fairly deep snow last year, that was a good laugh too!

If you're there at 10am, follow the Trails and Ales ride, I think we're doing similar to the above! Did it a few years ago and couldn't begin to ride the descent to Scarhouse. Am I a freak?? Perhaps I'll find I've improved. Or not.
