With pretty basic components this has to be a mistake surely?
Seems mighty light for a 140-160mm travel 'bargain' bike?

As if they don't already have enough problems with snapped frames, havd the guys in design really got their heads together and said "lets make our bikes even lighter"???

I'd want a 26lb bike if the frame cost £2800 😉

Where's this then Chopper as the Tracer 2 alloy was far from light!

I've seen carbine 275 complete for £3100!

I'm wanting one so badly as Intense's are real decent riding machines.

There's a few 'foundation' models left (alloy) with X-Fusion and SRAM 7 kit knocking about as end-of-season models on the internet

BlazingBikes, Wheelbase and others

Listed around 2.5k

What's the 'new' tracer?
Is it not the T275 Alloy. I haven't seen a UK price for those yet, but the foundation build in the US is $2999.

I was looking at the raw version here, until I decided on the Bird Aeris:

Demo'd the new carbon Tracer T275 recently, if I had £6k spare I'd buy that bike.

It is the new Foundation, and according to What Mountain Bike magazine the complete bike (a snip at £2899) weighs 26.2lbs.
This does sound very light to me?

Jenson USA list it at 31.63lbs with no pedals, and no dropper

I don't believe 28lb, but that's the old one you've linked to above.
The new one says 31lbs 4oz:

Edit: OP - are you sure they're not quoting the frame-only cost for the carbon?

My Medium Tracer 2 with XTR/XT ,34'S , Hope Hoops Flow Ex, and a Reverb is just under 32lb , the BlurTRC I had before the Tracer with XTR groupset , Hope Hoops Crests, and Reverb was 26lb on the LBS scales of truth.

I rode the spec in the picture below, definitely well under 30lb (though that isnt the reason I'd buy it if I had $10k)

My Intense Spider with velvets hope flows 1x10 no dropper probably weighs 29lbs-30lbs or so so very much doubt 26lbs for Tracer 275 as that is a substantial frame even though all Intense's are quite substantial due to the abuse they can take.

If it were the carbine 275 foundation build with slants then 28lbs would be about bang on!

Still it's not really about weight when it comes to building up an Intense as they pedal so well anyway plus are not for weight weenies.

Think that they represent much more clear vfm than SC's offerings of blur tr/bronson alloy and nomad alloy imo.
Plus they have kool paint jobs! Which is what counts. 😉

They definitely state that "last years frame cost £2349 while this complete entry-level bike only costs £2899".
In the specifications it states weight as 13.28kg (26.2lb).

No way is it 26lb..... 🙄

Demo`d the 275 last Autumn, it was the first "proper" full sus i had ever been on. It was really good even though not set up for me, one fact though, standard 3x9 set up there is no way it was less than 30lb....

So, back in May i bought this ex demo....

Now it looks like this...

2lbs with pedals! 😛

Someone can't do the maths then.
29lbs sounds more like it.
Hope they got the price right?

Only cos the geometry is the same.... 😉

I have allways wanted an Ibis, they don`t break like the Intense...I know this from fact cos there are 2 other HDs in our group, one has been ridden like a bull in a china shop, has a punctured top tube (crash damage) and is still going strong.
The other is a replacement for an Intense Tracer cos he had massive problems with the frame.(frame being relaced twice)

The one i demo`d had the same geometry as what i wanted......

No way is a Tracer 26ib...... 😉

My bosses T275 carbon is just over 27lbs with a £8-9k build so no way that thing is anywhere near.
