I noticed the seatpost, as I'd like a lever operated one for one of my bikes. What kind is it?

Questions - The Post Office does Cycle to Work scheme? Do you have to use it just to get to the depot or for your rounds too?

I wouldn't go advertising that they let you have more than the 1k limit (even if it's a top up & yrs i know everyone does it) coz the CTWS people might withdraw the shops agreement which would be financially a bummer for them.

Some schemes have a higher limit (ours is £3K)?

Slate with Resolutes, grip is good and they roll pretty well on tarmac too.

Posterich, slate tyres seem hard to come by, took me a bit of googling but you can get schwalbe g one evos from sjs cycles, and wtb resolutes from bike24.

Surly Knards are an option locally, was thinking of going 1x11 as a priority

In which case may I recommend one of these?

https://www.wolftoothcomponents.com/products/tanpan

I'll be sticking with 2x11 but will be 46/36 front with 11-36 rear

Looks a great bike!!

Been looking at a slate. I like different bikes! Couldn't get my c2w to stretch or a seller to let me pay the difference and as I want a new road bike this year from my normal free cash, the state will have to wait.

You've got a couple of options, 105 mid cage mech will let you use a 11-32 road cassette.

After that you are in mtb cassette territory so you need a new mech and the tanpan to fix the shifting between road shifters and mtb mech. Why the hell shimano made their 11spd road and mtb shift differently is beyond me.

postierich - Member

First ride it was a blast

Seems to be a lot of PR's on that Strava plot. Was that the new bike or were you having a good day?
