just went for the more xc orientated as I like the xc quick stearing, prob not as well spec'd but that can be worked on

isnt the whole idea of a new bike thread to show off your new toy and get some ribbing, some 'nice bike' comments and give us some 'want one' ideas?

and isnt the idea of a just ordered a new bike thread to show pics or tell people about what you have ordered but cant wait to tell everyone?

and isnt it incredibly arrogant to assume that people will be so interested and excited about your recent order that they will play 'guess the bike' all night?

IIRC, your [b]LATEST[/b] plan was for some kind of geared 29er. With drop-bars for racing 'Cross and/or flat-bars for XC. Or somesuch.
