[Closed] Need new pedals with float, eggbeaters better now?

I used to have eggbeaters but the spring used to go 'slack' and was able to lift up from the pedal. So I got some shimano XT pedals. They have essentially fallen to bits so need a new set of pedals.

Shall I give crank bro another go? Used to like them, although I was using the cheapest ones they only lasted 6 months of 80 miles a week (off road)

Any recommendations?

Crank Bros Candy's are good. They have been strengthened, are easily serviceable, and pretty cheap.

Another vote for Times here. For float and reliability, nothing else gets close

you sure it wasn't the cleats wearing on the eggbeaters - you need to replace them every so often.

The Look 4x4 cleats were better as they were a stronger brass.

New eggbeaters are better as they have bearings on the inside instead of bushings that wore out, like the Look 4x4s but I believe that the axle isn't as thin as the Looks.

[Happy 4x4 user...]
