[Closed] NE Scotland - Route Suggestions/Advice?

I'm off to NE Scotland / Cairngorms at the start of next month and wondered if there were any routes or rides that I should not miss?

Last year I had a week and ticked off Torridon, Sligachan and Quiraing loops in Wester Ross and Skye respectively. This year I only have 4 days so may only ride once (as I'm with the missus) hopefully twice.

So far, based on the K Wilson Mountainbike Scotland and the V Graphics Scotland Mountain Biking books, Glen Tilt or The Burma Road are looking like the favourites for the 'big' ride.

Anything else in the area that is a must do instead of or including one of the above? Tempted by Glen Tilt big ride and shortened Burma Road as the smaller maybe? Trail centres also considered. Is Golspie worth the extra journey north?

Cheers

KoB

Glen Tilt circuit is very nice IMO - its not he most technically interesting but you do get a great remote feeling. its a big long day out tho

I was going to be in Aviemore, I'd not waste good riding time by going to Golspie.

Ideas here.. http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/aviemore-routes-can-you-check-these-please

Mark (from TBC) and I did this recently..

You need to use the pause when stopped if using the endomondo app.

Thanks druidh. Having done some more reading this evening I think we are going to stay within the confines of the Cairngorms National Park.

I can't see the map profile of your recent ride fully but it looks like the glen feshie/glen einich routes combined.

The Glen Feshie route reads well so may be an option.

bruneep - Dakota 20 doesn't understand "pause". It's a Recreational GPS, not a Sport one. I might have a fiddle about with track recording options though,

KoB - That's a loop to Nethybridge/Ryvoan and then Glen Einich.
