and I went Ti so hopefully I won't need a new bike for a very long time
what gave you that idea? everyone i know seems to get a crack in their Ti bike.

Got an Orbea Orca 'race' bike, a Ridley winter/training bike and have just took delivery of a Trek cross bike. All addition to my 3 MTB's

Lifetime warranty on the frame if that happens anyway.

Yes, another one - Trek Madone 5.2 carbon. Bought it three years ago and use it more than my mountain now. Get's me loads fitter, easier to just get and out and ride and a surprising benefit is that because I've got used to climbing with road gears when I do get on my mountain bike I'm suddenly killing the climbs that previously killed me. And speed is great...
