Anyone got any pics of black Cotic Souls?

I'm pondering building a black stealth Soul for my commute, and wonder if anyone else has any similar shots?

Ta

Neil

Stealthy Soul

Fitted with the Grit stone decals

Which are great as they go from invisible to glowing with everything in between.
Love it

Mine, only recently built. Haven't ridden it enough to like it yet though.

Buy one. But make it orange. Everyone knows orange is the fastest colour.

nicholas_yiu, is the Hilo new as well, if not what do you think as I'm seriously considering one?

Yup, the hilo is new. At the moment, it's not very good compared to the Reverb on the other bike. It's too slow to come up and has too much resistance going down. Still much better than not having one though.

I heard they get better once they are bedded in.

Re: the HiLo. I've got one (also on a black Soul as it happens), it took a while to get it set up right but it's great now. Not quite as good as a Reverb, true, but much, much better than nothing. Been running mine without problems for over nine months, and the Soul is my main bike so it's seen a fair quantity of of mud and miles.

Top tips: make sure that it has 25psi in it, and when you pump it up make sure that you're holding the lever/remote open or it won't pressurise properly; bin the supplied cable and swap it for something decent, makes a huge difference; get some of that silicone fork lube stuff and spray it on the upper post a few times, that'll get it sliding nicely after a few rides and stop any irritating squeaking.

mintimperial, you may have just sold me on the idea. I've never used a dropper so won't have anything to compare it to.

Just love it......I swop out the flows with my old set of wheels with skinny road tyres on for occasional commute/roadie duties and the steel frame is a lot smoother ride on tarmac than my old alu rockhopper. Really flies on skinnies but does lead to the occasional embarrassing overtake of lycra clad roadies!

Just another perspective on the X-fusion hilo....I had 2 consecutive ones fail: the first seized (despite boot) after 3 rides and the second buckled (upper tube) on ride 4. Had previously had a Mk III reverb on a different bike no problems for 6 months prior. Replaced/refunded through Wiggle and now trying cheap trail drop (so far so good) until the KS LEV skinny post is released later this year 🙂
