Anyone else do this?

When changing tyres I scrape the dry bits into the sealant pool at the bottom of the old tyre, suck the old sealant out of the removed tyre with my large syringe, inject it back into the sealant bottle part full with fresh sealant, shake bottle, refill syringe an in it goes to the new tyre.

Seems bad not to waste it, and older sealant with bits in is surely just as effective... right?

Yep, I do this - I just scoop it into a GT85 lid and pour it in the new tyre

Yeah, I do it too, why waste it? Like Dez says an aerosol cap makes a great scoop.

I've pretty much switched over to Magic Milk now and it's water soluble/dilutable too which makes it even easier

I’d never soil my new sealant in the bottle with the old stuff but I certainly scoop as much as I can into the new tyre.

scoop it into a GT85 lid

Do they not have a little hole in?  Sure that’s caught me out before

I do it with Stans but I don't put any old stuff back in the bottle, it goes straight back into the new tyre. The consistency is the same as normal, it's just discoloured slightly.

By the time I'm changing tyre I usually have about 30ml old sealant to reuse with about 50ml new, so the ratio of old to new isn't too bad.

Not once the sealant's been in there 😀

Yep me too. Syringe it out and in to a mini yoghurt pot to go back in the new tyre, topped up.

See now, I do this because I think a mix of new & old is somehow more effective than 100% old. No, I don't know why.

Salvage any from the old tyre using an old stans squeezy bottle into a 100ml washing liquid ball and then top up and put into new tyre. Done one on Abigale front wheel today ready for the next race.

Yeah, I pour from the old tyre into a butter tub. Then into the new tyre and top up with fresh stans. It's usually 50/50 once some has spilt or got used by the old tyre. I mix regular stans and stans race too. Assume its the same stuff with just different particles. Joes too.
