A gaggle from work (14 people) are heading out to the Brecon Beacons in a couple of weekends. Mtb is on the agenda, but we have a very mixed ability group - some who haven't really been on a bike since they were teens, some regular commuters, and some who are a bit more familar with the concept of 'off road' or 'cross country'.

Selfishly, I'd like a change from Afan, and am pushing to explore the Brecons, but aren't sure what routes to go for - ideally we'd like to keep everyone together - and accept that it will be challenging for some.

Any ideas? We'll need a few bikes hired too...

cheers all.

Most routes in the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains will involve some biggish hills so, as long as your group are prepared to put in a bit of hike'a'bike, they should have a good time. The trails aren't too technical at slower speeds.

Have a look here for routes: [url= http://www.mtb-wales.com/ ]mtb-wales[/url
