Thinking about tyres for the spring/autumn. Looking for something not too draggy but not lethal in mud about 2.1-2.2", tubeless compatible for a 100mm HT doing mainly XC. Any views on the above tyres or any other suggestions?

Was running Fire XCs before putting Mud Xs on for the winter.

Running a Grip'r front and a Race'r rear ATM. Great combo on most surfaces for dry to damp conditions. In the claggy mud today the Grip'r was fine gripwise although doesn't shed mud well, but the Race'r was next to useless.

(100mm AM HT)

How does the Grip'R measure up, size wise? I've heard Michelin carcasses come up a bit small (which for the 2.2 might not be a bad thing, clearance wise).

recently put two bronson 29er's on. had a race'r on the front before and have used xc at's before. bronsons will be staying on this winter, pretty good allround and better than the michelins on greasy/damp rocks and roots. haven't really been through proper mud yet but i try to avoid it anyway.
