Imagine the British Grand Prix results not appearing until several days after the event. The media would go wild with speculation over who officially crossed the finish line in 16th place. They could rely on the uninformed rantings of motor racing website forums but imagine the vested interests of those posting their version of the results.

I reckon the boys and girls with the spreadsheets just fancy a rest after a brilliant weekend's racing....and who would blame them.

Having said that...it would be nice to know where I came! 😉

Yes, but they go faster than us. I don't know how people keep up with it. Particularly with all that overtaking. As for tennis, how does anybody actually focus on fast moving balls?

Results were available after the prize giving. But they did say that there were lots to check and should be up on the website mid week.

I just wanted to check we hit our pre race target.......DONT COME LAST, altough having now ridden it, there is no shame in that either.

surely it automatically goes into a spreadsheet, that could be release with in hours not days - if not someone really needs to think about upgrading there software!

As I said, if you had waited until 3.30pm you could of had a look. But they have to make sure all the DNF are correct.

They have to wait for the Police to investigate all the cheats before they can publish results without them in it, and they won't want to publish results with the cheats in because that would give them legitimacy.

Weren't they out late Sunday evening or something crazy like that a year or so ago? I'm sure I remember one year when it was amazingly quick...

thanks missus Flash. I was aiming for a top ten, so I'm stoked and maybe a little bit pumped to get 5th spot.

I'd have been 4th if it wasn't for that pesky Rod 😉

I'm not surprised you are stoked and pumped! It was very kind of me to stay away and ensure the weather for you though, wasn't it?

Will they be including the sub categories such as single speed solo (the category I entered)?

jimmers, if you look in the singlespeeders catagory then the soloists denoted IM as opposed to SM. Particularly seventh *ahem* 😀
(hoping no-one finds any extra laps...)

Yeah what she saying though SSP, I aint doin that again!!

Knights of Niche got 4th
3 Dames of Niche riding solo got 6th, 10th and 13th.
We'll have to try harder next year by not starting and just hurling abuse at people then handing out the left over whisky and beers 🙂

Curse those Singular boys - beat us (Singuloids) into 2nd SS -

apparently there was a prize for 1st and last, so have to try harder or not as hard next year 😕

Oh, and I don't understand the difference between 'Open' and 'Sport' as we would have done better overall in sport I think?

Lufbra Four Degrees Faster were incorrectly entered into the Uni subcategory, they studied at loughborough but they’re all graduates!! (hence the name) So anyone in that subcat assume you’re one place up.

We (Lufbra 4 Tools & A Spanner) got 17th in Mixed, and the above makes us 3rd in University Subcategory 🙂

Nick Craig is probably the fastest with an approx 38 min lap.
I haven't checked but that's what he told me;0)

Victory is sweet! We were second last year, so was nice to actually win it this year - looking at our lap times you had a bit more consistent spread of talent - we were very lucky to have Steve, that boy is fast...

Oh, and I don't understand the difference between 'Open' and 'Sport' as we would have done better overall in sport I think?

I think the difference is that Sport teams can't have anyone who's actually registered as an elite racer with the BCF. Quite why they bother making the distinction though I'm not sure... I was suprised how high we finished in Sport, it'd be nice just to see consolidated results of everyone together.

Seriously, congrats Sam on your victory - agreed Steve was very fast and pulled off a multiple-lap marathon at the end I see!

Consolidated results would be nice as I agree the distinction seems strange ~ I think we were 15th in Sport but would've been top 10 in Open?!

[edit] I wonder if one of these new fangled 29" things would make me faster...
