I've got a set of these lying amongst my spare bike bits that I'm trying to reduce.
They're not the best forks I know, and only 80mm travel but are they worthless? Seems a shame to bin em unless you can recycle old forks somewhere.
I'm sure I got about £35 for a pair of Axel Elites on ebay a few years back. Got to be worth a go - or try the classifieds on here?
When I was a kid the rag and bone man collected scrap you would get a balloon or a goldfish for lots of stuff
Depends what model is it. If the chrome coating is not pitted and they have a springy feeling You can still sell them. I sold a badly pitted pair of Axel Comps that was hardly compressing for £9 + £10 for postage on eBay 🙂 Put in the description that they are perfect for a hack pub bike and will still take the edge off some bigger potholes 😉 People will buy anything on ebay...
Also Couple of Axel models, some had decent TPC Lockout damping, some were basic spring and FFD damping.
id be interested if they were cheap.

They're worthless. Nobody has ever owned anyone with a pair of Axel Comps 😀
They're the basic models, preload adjustment I think although I do have a medium and firm spring for them. They've also got the chrome stanchions which do look to have some pitting on the surface.
If your interested thang I can measure the steerer. Not looking to get much over postage for them - having a clear out and looking to de-clutter so want to get rid.
P.S they're pretty weighty binners so I reckon some good owning could be had... 😀
